We transformed this standard concrete patio into a private retreat by expanding the usable space with a pea gravel courtyard made possible with a low, natural limestone retaining wall and adding a raised stone planter with flowering vines climbing the trellis. A fresh color scheme, comfortable furnishings, and lots of greenery provided these homeowners with a peaceful outdoor living room.
